Shimadzu Manufacturing Asia Sdn. Bhd.

Shimadzu Manufacturing Asia Sdn. Bhd. (SMA) is Shimadzu's newest analytical and measuring instrument manufacturing facility targeted to cater for sales to South East Asia, the Indian subcontinent, and Oceania regions. SMA is projected to improve Shimadzu's ability to accommodate the particular needs of those markets, comply with regulations, and supply products in a more effective manner. The SMA factory construction was started in August, 2015 and completed in March 2016.

The production of Shimadzu's state-of-the-art products is scheduled to start in June 2016 which are expected to witness a substantial growth, such as the Liquid Chromatograph (Prominence, Prominence-i Series) and UV-Vis Spectrophotometer (UV-1800).
